Spring Break
(6 Days)
Spring in the Cape is the perfect time to escape from the big
city to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside and the
wonders of nature. So come with us to the beautiful Swartberg
area! It combines magnificent mountain scenery with the intimate
rural atmosphere of small villages and towns.
We stay first at Prince Albert (2nts), at the foot of the
Swartberg mountains. It is perfect for pottering around in cosy
little shops and admiring gardens over the fence! And an ideal
base for going on outings with your guide, including of course
the Swartberg Pass area. Then we move on to our favourite
guesthouse, Oue Werf (3nts), set on a farm at Schoemanspoort, a
haven of rural peace in lovely surroundings - and the meals are
great! We have outings lined up for you in the surrounding
areas, such as De Rust ("Dorp of the Year") and plenty of
opportunities for strolls in free time. And of course the famous
Route 62 will carry us homeward via Calitzdorp and Bonnievale.
